Mar Azul 4 is situated on Mar Azul beach housing estate in Ponta Malongane. This 4 bedroom, 10 sleeper house is situated in the beachfront row of houses and has its own private walkway leading from the house directly onto the beach. 2 kids under 12 can be accommodated on pull-out beds. Please advise if this is required prior to arrival so that the staff can prepare them for you This house is the owner's second home away from home and has been equipped and furnished to make your stay most comfortable. The house has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms en-suite. Bedroom 1: has 1 queen size bed with a single roll-out bed underneath. Bedroom 2 has 1 double bed and 1 single bed. On the right of the house, there are bedrooms 3 and 4, bedroom 3 has 1 queen size bed with a single roll out bed underneath, and bedroom 4 has 1 double bed and 1 single bed. 3 of the 4 bathrooms have a shower, toilet, and hand basin, and the 4th bathroom has a bath, shower, toilet, and basin. All beds have mosquito nets and overhead ceiling fans, the aircon in the rooms are non functional. 2 of the bedrooms open up onto the outside deck and you can have your morning coffee in bed while looking out over the ocean. The other 2 bedrooms look out into the forest. All linen is provided. The house comfortably sleeps 8 adults and 2 kids under the age of 12. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering. There are 3 fridges and 1 box deep freeze. There is an electric oven and glass stovetop, 2 electric chip fryers, kettle, coffee plungers, a filter coffee machine with paper filters/glass coffee pot, and all crockery and cutlery required for self-catering. There is a gas braai on the outside deck overlooking the ocean, gas is supplied. There is also a charcoal braai behind the house for those windy days. The house has a backup generator for when there are power outages. No candles are allowed inside the house as the house is built from wood and this is a fire hazard. No smoking is allowed inside the house. Anna is the housekeeper, she only works at this house and does cleaning daily. If you would like laundry done please bring skip washing powder or liquid with you and ask Anna to do the laundry for you, only Anna is allowed to operate the washing machine. All cushions on the outside deck must be brought in at night as they will get wet overnight from the sea air. All cleaning materials are supplied. House Rules To try and keep everyone safe and happy, please take note of some of our important House Rules: The speed limit in the resort is 10km/hr. Please respect the 10:30pm noise restriction - Loud music is not much fun when you are not at the party. No fireworks are allowed.. Nearly all of our houses are made of wood and this could go horribly wrong. No children under the age of 18 are allowed to ride a quad bike. (Please note that this is Mozambiquean law, not our rules). No littering. We know this sounds really obvious, but you would be amazed. And, we would really appreciate it if you removed two pieces of rubbish from the beach each time you go. No unattended open fires. Yip, we already said it, the houses are made of wood and we don't want to light up the sky. There is a fish cleaning/gutting station near security. Please use this area so we can contain the smell and keep it clean so you don't get a fly in your drink. For security reasons, all casual labour must be sourced via the Mar Azul Manager. No access card, no entry. Guests must advise Security in advance of any visitors. If their name is not at Security, they will not be allowed access. All our plugs were off on our arrival late afternoon, but thanks to a call to Lize (sorry about that!), Oros was introduced and quickly arrived to solve the problem (DB board hidden behind a painting).
Beautiful, stunning. We were so unbelievably happy when we saw the villa, the way it is decorated, the remote beach, the beautiful garden setting, just all amazing. We saw whales and Dolphins just sitting on the deck. Best place ever and will be back again, the sooner the better :-).

My consultant was Carlin and she was fantastic. All the info I asked for, she answered or send to me straight away, she was very on the ball. It was great that I could stay in contact with her through Whatsapp and that she was so proactive, really enjoyed that.
Things to improve:
It was our first stay in Ponta Malongane and we didn't know anything. If there would have been a list with info about: Where to get your fresh fish, supermarket, the best restaurants to go to, etc. I know you can Google everything, but recommendations are always the best. It is not needed, but a nice touch maybe. Overall nothing to do better, a fantastic experience. Thank you.

The most stunning views you'll ever experience; absolutely breath taking. We couldn't wait for the morning just to sit at the patio and take it all in. The house is also spacious and comfortably furnished. Anna the housekeeper is also very efficient and helpful.

I would suggest hand washing soap for the bathrooms, it was a bit of an inconvenience not having it & if the owner doesn't want to provide it, perhaps include it on the list of items to bring as they do with toilet paper. You sort of expect that there will be hand washing soap, even more so during Covid.
One of my fafourite houses in Malongane. I actually want to thank tbe Walker family for letting us use their little beach paradise. We can feel the care and the love they dedicate to the house.
