The king-size bed accommodates two adults. The single sleeper couch is suitable for one child under 12 and is not intended for an adult. Families travelling with a second child under 12 may bring one camping or inflatable mattress. Guests must provide their own linen and bedding for this additional mattress. BEACHFRONT LOCATION & BEACH ACCESS Baleia Azul Beachfront Tent 7 is situated directly on the beachfront within Baleia Azul Estate. Beach access is between Tents 3 and 4 and takes approximately 2 minutes on foot. The pathway leads directly onto Frederico’s Beach. The well-known Frederico’s snorkelling spot is less than a 5-minute walk to the right along the beach. SPLASH POOL The tent has a small private splash pool overlooking the ocean. The splash pool is designed for sitting and cooling down and is not large enough for swimming. The splash pool has no safety net or fence. Use of the splash pool and associated facilities is strictly at guests’ own risk. Children must be supervised at all times. OUTDOOR BATHTUB A private outdoor bathtub is situated on the sea-facing deck and enjoys 180° ocean views. KITCHEN & BRAAI The outdoor self-catering kitchen has a fridge/freezer, two-plate gas hob, kettle and toaster, together with the necessary crockery, cutlery, pots, pans and cooking utensils. A built-in braai overlooking the beach is provided and can be used with wood or charcoal. CONNECTIVITY There is no Wi-Fi at the tent. Guests who require internet connectivity can purchase a local SIM card. Mobile reception is available at the tent. HOUSEKEEPING & COMPULSORY STAFF TIP The tent is serviced daily by a housekeeper who makes the beds, washes dishes and cleans the bedroom and bathroom areas. A compulsory staff tip of R70 per day applies, including the days of arrival and departure. The staff tip must be paid directly to the housekeeper in cash on departure. LINEN & TOWELS Bed linen and bath towels are supplied. Guests must bring their own beach towels. Guests bringing an additional camping or inflatable mattress for a second child must also bring linen and bedding for that mattress. DRINKING WATER & SEPTIC SYSTEM Guests must bring their own drinking water. The property operates on a septic tank system. Only single-ply toilet paper may be flushed down the toilet. No other items may be flushed. 4X4 ACCESS A 4x4 vehicle is compulsory for access to Baleia Azul Estate. Parking is available for up to two vehicles. BOAT LAUNCHING Guests bringing a boat can make use of the Baleia Azul Estate tractor for launching and retrieving their boat. The tractor is operated by a designated driver and may not be operated by guests. Please enquire about the applicable tractor fee when arranging boat launching and retrieval. REFUNDABLE BREAKAGE DEPOSIT A refundable breakage deposit of R1,500 is payable one month before arrival. The deposit will be refunded within 14 days after departure, subject to there being no damage, breakages or losses at the property. LATE CHECK-OUT Late check-out is available on request only and is subject to the tent not having an incoming booking on the day of departure. Where late check-out is approved, a fee of R1,500 will be deducted from the refundable breakage deposit. Late check-out is no later than 15:00. HOUSE & ESTATE RULES No pets are permitted. Loud music, parties and functions are not permitted. All guests must comply with Baleia Azul Estate rules. No noise is permitted between 22:00 and 06:00. Failure to comply will result in a warning. If the issue occurs again after a warning, the full breakage deposit will be forfeited. Continued non-compliance may result in guests being required to vacate the property immediately, with no refund for any unused nights.
